Lihok is a free game for indoor rides, runs and fitness. This page explains what it does with your data. 2026-11-03 · Contact: https://github.com/charmae/lihok4fun/issues
The short version
- Your rides, settings, screenshots and clips stay on your device.
- Your camera is used only on your device: it is never recorded or uploaded unless you save a screenshot or clip yourself.
- Nothing is sent to Strava, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or Instagram unless you connect them and press share or go live.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies.
Devices
Smart trainers, heart rate monitors, steering plates, controllers, treadmills and foot pods connect through your browser's Bluetooth. Their readings (speed, power, cadence, heart rate) are used during your session and kept in the ride or session summary on your device.
Camera and pose tracking
The selfie overlay and pose tracking (rep counting, form and pose checks) run entirely in your browser. The pose model works on video frames in memory; no video or body data leaves your device. A frame becomes a file only if you take a screenshot or record a clip.
Screenshots, clips and summaries
Captures are saved on your device (the game's captures folder, or your browser's storage in the online version). You choose what to share, using your system's share sheet or downloads.
Strava
If you link Strava, Lihok asks for permission to upload activities (activity:write) and nothing else. It uploads only the rides, runs and sessions you choose to share, with the title and description you can edit first. On real-world routes the upload can include the route's GPS track (you can turn this off before sharing); uploads are marked as virtual/indoor activities. Your Strava login tokens are stored only where the game runs and are never shown in the browser. Unlinking revokes Lihok's access on Strava and deletes the tokens.
Live streaming
Go Live sends your game view (and selfie camera and sound, if on) to the platform you choose, using the stream key you paste in. The key is stored only where the game runs. Who can watch is set on that platform.
Settings stored on your device
Preferences (bike, character, training settings, best scores) are kept in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
